In 2022 the Renegade was reinvented, without losing Jeep's iconic design identity. The model received new full LED lights, new front and rear bumpers and a brand new version, the S Series. To follow these updates, the CMF directions also took inspiration from Jeep's combined ruggedness and elegance.
For the Brazilian market, Renegade's the entry model for Jeep's lineup and it's been constantly featured on the best-selling lists since its release in 2015. The challenge here was to reinvent a well-established classic, maintaining the coherence between previous and new finishes.

This project also marks Stellantis Design South America's first endeavor at designing a Jeep vehicle independently from the Company's Product Design Office in the USA. Even though we're always collaborating with our colleagues from Jeep, this is extremely important to establish the importance of the model for our local market.
We began by defining the concepts that guided the project, starting at Jeep's iconic symbols, through its robustness and capability and the mostly urban environment that this vehicle would occupy.
We also looked at the car's line-up, set up like a letter Y, beginning with the Sport version as the 4x2 entry model, followed by Longitude, positioned above it. Both S and Trailhawk have the highest price points and are the versions with more content.
This helped us define the best strategy for distributing the finishes and establishing a more coherent line-up.
Sport is the entry version for this vehicle. We included a few improvements over the previous version, like embossing and appliqués on the seat fabrics. This was possible by choosing very cost-efficient fabrics, which we enhanced with the rear lantern inspired graphics, making the seats viable but interesting at the same time. We also upgraded the grille finishing with Black Piano accents, highlighting the exterior design changes.
Longitude is the top tier version of the 4x2 line-up, and since it's a 4x2 model, we took a more urban and elegant approach to materials, with a few touches of chromed accents and anodized silver. The leather seats also got a Jeep Grille embossing on the upper bolster, adding a subtle easter egg to the interior. The rear-view mirror caps now come in only one color, Granite Crystal, contributing to a more cost-effective approach, but also more in tune with the CMF vision for the car.
We introduced a new addition to the Renegade lineup for the first time—the S edition. This version stands out with its captivating darkened finishes, extending from the headliner, air conditioning vents, and center console to the wheels, grille accents, and mirror caps. These sleek darkened finishes bring a fresh and exciting element to the Renegade line.
The Jeep Renegade Trailhawk boasts remarkable finishes that elevate its rugged and adventurous spirit. The former tow hooks gave way to new bold and distinctive red accents to the aggressive front and rear fascias, every detail exudes an aura of capability and durability. The Trailhawk's black grille with striking red accents adds a touch of sportiness, while the rugged fender flares and skid plates exude a sense of toughness. With its distinctive Trail Rated® badge, the Renegade Trailhawk showcases its off-road power and stands as a testament to Jeep's commitment to delivering a vehicle that can conquer any terrain in style.
